Last updated: 28 October 2026

BlackSalt Performance AI ("we", "us", "our") is operated by BlackSalt Performance AI Pty Ltd (ABN 40 683 294 993), part of the BlackSalt Group. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Information we collect

We only collect information we need to talk with you, run our Discovery calls and Audits, and deliver our services. This may include:

  • Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, business name and role.
  • Booking details such as the time you choose and anything you tell us in the booking form.
  • Business information you share with us during a Discovery call, Audit or project, such as how your business runs, your goals, processes, systems, team structure and financial figures.
  • Call recordings and transcripts. Discovery calls and Audit interviews are recorded and transcribed so nothing is missed. We will always tell you before a call is recorded.
  • Website and technical information such as your browser type, device, pages visited and how you arrived on our site, collected through cookies and similar tools.

We collect most information directly from you. Sometimes we receive it from someone else, for example when a colleague books a call for you or a BlackSalt Group adviser refers you to us with your permission.

We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information) and ask that you don't share it with us unless it is genuinely needed.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries and manage your bookings, including confirmations and reminders by email or SMS.
  • To prepare for and run Discovery calls, Audit Proposals, Audits, Roadmaps and any work you engage us for.
  • To analyse call transcripts and business information so we can produce your Audit findings and recommendations.
  • To send you information about our services, if you have agreed to receive it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To improve our website, services and processes. Where we use what we learn across clients to spot patterns, we remove details that identify you or your business.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.

3. Use of AI tools

We use carefully selected software, including artificial intelligence tools, to transcribe calls and help us analyse the information you provide. These tools assist our team; a person at BlackSalt Performance AI reviews every finding and recommendation before it reaches you. We choose providers that do not use our clients' data to train their public AI models, and we only share what is needed for the task.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when needed to run our business, with:

  • Service providers who help us operate, such as our CRM and booking platform (HighLevel), email and SMS providers, video-call and transcription tools, AI tools, cloud storage and accounting software.
  • BlackSalt Group entities, where it helps us look after you and you would reasonably expect it.
  • Professional advisers such as our accountants, lawyers and insurers.
  • Authorities when the law requires it.

Our service providers must keep your information secure and use it only to provide services to us.

5. Overseas storage

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States. When we use overseas providers, we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. Cookies and website tools

Our website and booking calendar use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it. Our site also loads fonts from Google and booking tools from HighLevel, which may receive technical information such as your IP address. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site, such as the booking calendar, may not work properly.

7. How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. This includes password-protected systems, access limited to team members who need it, and reputable providers with strong security. No system is completely secure, so if you think your information has been put at risk, please tell us straight away.

If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by law.

8. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires (for example, financial records are generally kept for seven years). When it is no longer needed, we securely delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Access and correction. You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it.
  • Marketing. You can opt out of marketing emails or SMS at any time using the unsubscribe link or by replying STOP.
  • Recordings. You can ask us not to record a call. We may then take written notes instead.
  • Anonymity. You can contact us without giving your name, though we will need contact details to book a call or provide services.

We will respond to requests within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.

10. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us using the details below. We will look into it and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
